Classes

One way that I'm getting to get involved here is through the seminary. I live in the seminary campus, and that is a major ministry that Rachel works with. Taking this class will let me get to know the students so much better, and I'll get to learn more Spanish too! Tonight, I was going to the store with Rachel to get some things she needed for Oansa tomorrow, and Milka, a girl in my class invited me to a birthday party for another person in my class. Everyone in my class was there, and it was fun to be asked to come!

Yesterday and today were pretty full with classes. I want to be busy with other things to though, but it will come with time. I had a quiz today... In Spanish... I did OK, I guess. The questions were fill in the blank sentences from the notes. I couldn't think of 2, and I got another wrong. Not how Joanna likes to do, but what's done is done. Today in the afternoon session was about pulling out different characteristics from a story. I was very confused at first, but I think it's going a bit better. I have 2 for homework, and it's for a grade... :-\ I'll survive. I hope...

I played ping pong until chapel which was fun. For chapel, I sat with about 10 other girls squished on a row, but it was fun!!! And I stayed warm. They handed out a bottle of Pepsi and a keychain to everyone who didn't get demerits. It's a pretty cheap prize, but it works great! 13 had 0 demerits. I ate at the seminary again with the girls. They had soup, rice, and what in the bowl looked like pineapple, but tasted like hunks of potatoes. Studied this afternoon, and got a shower while it was a slight bit warmer... :-) :-)

I got to talk to Bethany Rojas for a bit before she started school, and then after school we talked over homework. :-) it was so much fun!!! And she is quite the giggle box! She speaks both English and Spanish well, so that was nice! She braided my hair, and then we played battleship. She is really sweet!

¡Chao!
Joanna
